So I started running a few ads last night, as I’d planned to do once I hit the middle of the second episode, and I noticed people are actually visiting this blog. I probably should have seen it coming, but I really didn’t…
But yeah, adverts! It was nice to go back to Project Wonder and find that, not only is the site itself alive (though somewhat neutered, I figure, by modern-day trends of ad-blockers) but also some of the sites I used to run ads on ‘back in the day’ are still running. That (and, indeed, seeing how people’s art has improved) is genuinely inspiring! I don’t really know all that many creative types in Real Life (too many “I’d like to do this/I’ve got a book in me, but I can’t afford the time” types!), so it’s nice to see people still toiling away. I only regret not having had enough time to keep up with everything. My backlog of Stuff genuinely stretches back about 15 years now…
It was also a somewhat intimidating moment, since, much like when I first ran adverts for Phantasia, six years ago, I had a sudden rush of I’m-not-ready-for-this-and-everything-sucks-and-no-don’t-do-it! anxiety. I guess everyone gets that, though! But still, there’s so much more work to do on this damned site, and I need to find the time to do it D: If you’re wondering, I plan to expand on the character and compendium sections – the former having more detailed profiles that update with each episode, the latter having sections added to with each chapter. I’ve already got some stuff ready, but I’m planning to update it all in one big chunk. Because, eh… because.
Here we go again, I guess!
